Dr. Adnan Mohammed Hassan Alshaikh received his MB from the King Abdulaziz University of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 1988. He completed his Diploma in Child Heath (DCH) and Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP) in the United Kingdom in 1993 and served as a Fellow in Pediatric Endocrine at the Hospital for Sick Children in Canada for 3 years.

He is currently working as  a Consultant Paediatric Endocrinologist at the King Abdulaziz Medical City. He is also an Associate Dean at College of Science and Health Profession in King Abdulaziz University since the past 6 years.

He is an active member in various Diabetes societies in Saudi Arabia and is also the chairman of Pediatric Quality Improvement Committee and Pediatric Residency Training Program Committee in King Abdulaziz University, Western Region.

Apart from his various research projects, he has a great involvement in community services. He attends TV shows to spread awareness on Diabetes Education and participates in Obesity awareness campaigns regularly. He is now working on an educational booklet in Arabic Language for diabetic children and their parents.

Dr Yousef AL Saleh graduated in 1991 from King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He completed 3 years of residency training in Internal Medicine at King Faisal Specialist hospital and King Abdulazeez Medical City (KAMC) in Riyadh. He completed the Membership of The Royal College of Physicians (London), MRCP (U.K.) in 1994 and the Arab Board of Medicine in 1996. Subsequently he completed his Fellowship Training in Endocrinology and Diabetes at The University of California, San Diego in 1998. He re-joined KAMC as consultant of Medicine and Endocrinology since then.

He was appointed as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Endocrinology, King Saud University for Health Sciences in 2009 and is awaiting his promotion to Associate Professor very soon.

Dr AL Saleh is currently the head division of Endorinology at the department of medicine, King Abdulazeez Medical City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He was elected as the President of The Scientific Council of Medicine at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties in Jan 2011.

The council is responsible for all Board Training and Certification in Internal Medicine in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Dr AL Saleh is the establishing Secretary General of The Saudi Osteoporosis Society and served that job from 2009 to 2011 and is still board member. He is the establisher of the Saudi Fellowship of Diabetes to be launched in Jan 2016

He is a fellow of The American College of Endocrinology. And member of many hospital and national committees. He has 21 publications in peer reviewed journals in the field of diabetes and endocrinology particularly on aspects of diabetes, metabolic syndrome and Vitamin D in Saudi Arabia. Lately, this year (2015)  he published the first ever Saudi National Guidelines on Osteoporosis and is currently putting the latest touches on a book for patients with Diabetes. He currently serves as the president of AACE Gulf Chapter.
