Wiam Hussein has done all his training in the United States of America. After completing Internal Medicine residency program and receiving the annual Best Resident Award, he continued his training in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in The Cleveland Clinic Foundation where he got two fellowships in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism.
While in the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, he received multiple awards including a national award of the year in USA for his research and publications in his field from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists / American college of Endocrinology.
He returned to the Gulf in 1998 and established a world class center for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Osteoporosis in Saudi Arabia. He later became the Director for the first Joslin Center affiliate in GCC and made it a successful Diabetes and Endocrine center in Bahrain.
He has several publications in various areas of Endocrinology and Diabetes in some of the best journals while maintaining a very busy private practice.
He is the founder of the Gulf Chapter for The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (The largest organization established for the GCC countries) and received national and international recognition for his work in Bahrain and the Gulf Area. Dr. Hussein was selected as the recipient of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists Gulf Chapter Ibn Sina Distinguished Service Award 2018 in recognition for the outstanding contribution to the field of diabetes and Endocrinology.

Dr Yousef AL Saleh graduated in 1991 from King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He completed 3 years of residency training in Internal Medicine at King Faisal Specialist hospital and King Abdulazeez Medical City (KAMC) in Riyadh. He completed the Membership of The Royal College of Physicians (London), MRCP (U.K.) in 1994 and the Arab Board of Medicine in 1996. Subsequently he completed his Fellowship Training in Endocrinology and Diabetes at The University of California, San Diego in 1998. He re-joined KAMC as consultant of Medicine and Endocrinology since then.
He was appointed as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Endocrinology, King Saud University for Health Sciences in 2009 and is awaiting his promotion to Associate Professor very soon.

Dr AL Saleh is currently the head division of Endorinology at the department of medicine, King Abdulazeez Medical City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He was elected as the President of The Scientific Council of Medicine at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties in Jan 2011.

The council is responsible for all Board Training and Certification in Internal Medicine in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Dr AL Saleh is the establishing Secretary General of The Saudi Osteoporosis Society and served that job from 2009 to 2011 and is still board member. He is the establisher of the Saudi Fellowship of Diabetes to be launched in Jan 2016

He is a fellow of The American College of Endocrinology. And member of many hospital and national committees. He has 21 publications in peer reviewed journals in the field of diabetes and endocrinology particularly on aspects of diabetes, metabolic syndrome and Vitamin D in Saudi Arabia. Lately, this year (2015) he published the first ever Saudi National Guidelines on Osteoporosis and is currently putting the latest touches on a book for patients with Diabetes. He currently serves as the president of AACE Gulf Chapter.
